Why I’m Excited for Menopause (and why you can be too)
I’m 51. No meds. No Botox. No hormone therapy… and I’ve had virtually zero menopause symptoms.
This isn’t luck.
This isn’t genetics.
This is by design.
We’ve been conditioned to believe menopause = suffering.
Hot flashes
Mood swings
Sleepless nights.
But what if that narrative is rooted in poor lifestyle habits… and GENIUS marketing?
The “You can’t do anything about it, so take this pill” trap.
And now it’s gotten worse.
Not only is it wrong to “go through menopause,” but now we’re being told it starts in our 30s?!
What?!
If no one else is going to say it, I will.
Our teenage girls are losing their ability to have children at alarming rates. Periods are heavier, more painful, more unpredictable. Then, just when a woman hits some sense of hormonal balance in her 20s, if she’s “lucky,” she’s told she’s now at risk for “peri-menopause”?!
Let’s call this what it is: fear-based conditioning.
Stop the madness!
Yes, hormones should be part of the conversation, but we’ve lost our way.
We’ve started replacing pharmaceuticals with supplements as if they’re the new magic pill. Even in the natural world, it’s still a “fix me quick” mentality.
And trust me: I sell supplements for a living. I believe in them.
But nothing replaces Taking Root in your health and questionning what is actually causing the harm your magic pill is supposed to keep solving:
The food you eat.
The plastics.
The soap, perfume, and detergents.
The hormones in your meat and dairy.
The stress in your life you dismiss as “normal.”
The antibiotics in animal products and drugs that destroy your gut.
The pharma drugs for one symptom, that rapes your body elsewhere…
This isn’t about fear. It’s an awakening.
So if you’ve been fearing pre-, peri-, menopause or post menopause… maybe it’s time to question what you’ve been told.
We were never meant to fade at this time of our lives; we were meant to lead. Women in this phase of life were once the wisdom warriors of the tribe; the ones others turned to for clarity, intuition, wisdom, and truth. This still lives in us! Our minds are meant to stay sharp, our bodies working and strong, and our presence honored by the generations that follow.
This isn’t a glow-up. This is our Awakening; a homecoming if you will. It’s our return to our sacred wisdom and our truer selves.
Menopause is not the end. It is the return. It’s about education. It’s about power. It’s about getting back to listening… really listening… to what our daughters’ bodies, and maybe even our own bodies, have been screaming at us all along.
